Eigenaar College Hotel koopt restaurant

De eigenaar van het College Hotel in Amsterdam, de Nedstede Groep, heeft Restaurant De Oude Smidse in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel overgenomen. Nedstede heeft al diverse horecabedrijven in Nederland en een club op Ibiza.

Restaurant De Oude Smidse in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel is overgenomen door de Nedstede Groep uit Amsterdam. Deze onderneming van vastgoedman Michael van de Kuit was al eigenaar van diverse grote horecabedrijven in de hoofdstad, zoals het College Hotel, de Panama Club en van de De Hoop op de Swarte Walvis, het voormalige restaurant van Ahold in Zaandam.

Michael van de Kuit, eigenaar van de Nedstede Groep is verheugd over de aankoop van het restaurant, dat vlakbij de historische dorpskern van Ouderkerk is gevestigd. ‘Het is prachtig gelegen, schuin tegenover de oudste Joodse begraafplaats van Nederland en met een terras aan het water’, zegt hij.

‘Sinds 1960 heeft het restaurant een goede naam opgebouwd en ik zie nog wel mogelijkheden die reputatie nog verder te vergroten.’
